Made of high strength concrete, reinforced with chopped AR glass fibers.

Unlike the majority of concrete benches out there who use cheap sand only mixes, or use left over concrete from other projects that they weaken when they have to re-hydrate to fill the bench molds... we make our pieces from a specific concrete formula with over 6,000 PSI, for the longest durability and strength possible.

Available in natural grey concrete, colored concrete, acid stained, and an option for sealing the concrete.

Bench Tops and Bench Legs are sold individually, so need to be ordered separately and allow complete customization of your bench style and coloring.

Note about acid stain colors: Olive, Turquoise, and Jade colors may darken or discolor in outdoor, wet environments.

Sealer: If desired, the concrete can be sealed. We use SuperSeal 2000 acrylic sealer, which is a wet-look sealer which protects the concrete and enhances the color. Other sealers can be used, upon a custom request (additional costs would apply).

Concrete Countertop Slurry Mix

Product Detail:

Concrete Slurry Mix for filling in any imperfection or holes in concrete surfaces.

Contains a blend of Portland Cements, Cenospheres, and Pozzolan. Cenospheres act as miniature ball bearings, allowing the slurry to fill small pinholes easier, and act as a bonding surface for the cements to reduce shrinkage and cracking of the slurry.

Just add water. For a stronger slurry and better bonding, replace water with a water mixture consisting of 1 part Polyplex to 5 parts water.

Slurry mix can be pigmented before application, or stained once applied and cured.

Product Specifications:

Size: 64 oz. (2 quart) container. 3.4 lbs. by weight.

Color: Natural cement grey.

Coverage: Coverage rates vary depending upon size and number of voids to be filled. 64 oz. of slurry will usually cover around 100 sq. ft. of concrete surface with minimal pinholes and voids that need to be filled.

Contains Portland Cements, Cenospheres, and Pozzolan.

Application:

Preperation: Polish, grind, or sand the concrete surface to open any voids in the concrete that may have just a super thin covering of cement over them. Wet concrete surface before applying the slurry, but do not over do it. Just keep the concrete damp as you work- no standing water.

Coloring: If coloring the slurry, mix the color into the slurry in the same ratio as was used on the concrete mix.

Mix: Put a small amount of Slurry Mix into a mixing container, and add small amounts of water until the mixture looks like peanut butter. Optional: For a stronger slurry, and better bonding, consider using a mixture of 1 part Polyplex to 5 parts water instead of just straight water. If a superplasticizer/water reducer (such as SP-7000) was used in your concrete mix, you may also want to add a tiny amount of this to your mix water.

Apply: Using a putty knife or your fingers (use Rubber Slurry Gloves) on uneven surfaces and edges, work the slurry into the concrete. Use a spray bottle with just water in it, and keep the concrete damp before you work the slurry into it. Usually working the slurry in one direction with a putty knife, and then pulling across the same area in a different direction will ensure the best fill. On large voids, the slurry should be left a little thicker, as it will shrink down as it dries.

Finishing: Allow slurry to dry at least a few hours before attempting to sand. Usually using 200 grit sandpaper by hand, or on a palm sander, will work well. If wet polishing, allow the slurry to dry a few days first. Once sanded, determine if another slurry coat is needed. Multiple coats of slurry are often necessary to obtain a completely flat concrete surface.

Staining and Sealing: Slurry should be allowed to dry at least 24-48 hours before staining or sealing. Most stains react to the cement in concrete, so areas of high cement content, such as a hole filled with slurry, will generally stain darker than concrete around it that usually have a lesser cement ratio. With all color and staining, doing a test batch or area is recommended.

Concrete Edge 7.5" Rough Rock Step Liner

Product Detail:

Re-usable edge form liner to create a detailed edge on concrete.

7.5" Rough chiseled rock edge detail.

Designed for creating steps, fireplace hearths, capstones, or thick countertops.

Most building codes require steps to be within a certain height, so this 7.5" form liner allows you to easily fill the concrete up to the needed height for your project.

Made of extremely durable polyurethane that can flex and stay strong.

Can be used in pre-cast or poured in place concrete work.

Cut to length easily with a utility knife. Join cut pieces using silicone.

Fast and easy to place in a mold, and quick to clean after use.

Good for hundreds of uses- Actually gets better with each use.

Product Specifications:

Measurements: 89 1/2"L x 7 1/2"H.

Mold Setup:

Place in mold and either silicone in place, or screw through a backing form into the Edge Form Liner (screw holes will disappear once you back the screws out).

Silicone a bead across the full length of the bottom of the Edge Form Liner to create a water-tight seal.

Use of form release is recommended, but usually not necessary. Form release generally will create a smoother finish on the concrete.

Vibrate concrete well, or use fingers along entire length of Form Liner to remove as many air pocket voids as possible.

Edge Liner Removal:

After the concrete is sufficiently set up (typically 2-3 days), remove the Edge Form Liner.

Removal is simple- start on one end, and slowly peel the Form Liner away from the concrete.

Concrete usually will have small 'bumps' which can be sanded off with a 200 grit sandpaper. These bumps tend to disappear the more the Edge Form Liner is used, as it becomes seasoned.

Fill any air pocket voids with a slurry mix. Cenospheres (sold separately) make slurry fill voids more easily, and with less shrinkage.

Edge Liner Care:

Clean with a stiff brush and water after each use. Any silicone left on the forms should be peeled or scraped off (the sooner the easier to remove). Any hardened concrete can usually be removed using a wire brush.

*Occasional imperfections may be present on the Edge Form Liners, and can be altered using a sharp utility knife, or a very abrasive sand paper or resin-bound grinding discs.

Historical Note: This doorbell is from the front entrance to Hatley Castle in British Columbia, Canada. The castle was built for coal baron James Dunsmuir and designed by architect Samuel Maclure in 1908.

Stainless Steel Numbers and Letters, made from heavy 16 gauge stainless steel. Will not rust.

The numeral and letter forms are laser cut for precision, and then removed, allowing the mounting surface to show through.
