    Concrete Stain, Vivid Tintura

    Product Detail:

LITHOCHROME® Tintura™ Stain is a low VOC, environmentally friendly stain that includes vivid reds, yellows, blues, pastel pinks and beiges and even grays. The waterborne stain penetrates and bonds with porous concrete or cementitious toppings for permanent, nonfading, predictable colors. When finished with the compatible sealer, it is durable enough for interior floors, walls, columns and other decorative features.

LITHOCHROME® Tintura™ Stain must be applied full strength without thinning. The coverage will vary depending on the method of application, the porosity and texture of the surface, and the appearance desired. One, two, or three coats may be required to produce the desired color effect and intensity on colored or uncolored concrete and cementitious toppings.

Coverage: The recommended coverage rate is 1000-1200 square feet per gallon (25-30 square meters per liter) per coat. Maximum: 3 Coats.

Packaging: Available by Pint (premixed), or Gallon (2 separate containers: 1-Gallon of uncolored Base, and a premeasured Tint Cup of the selected coloring agent).

Tintura is formulated specifically to stain concrete or cementitious toppings. Unlike coatings or paints which often delaminate when used on concrete, Tintura chemically bonds with cured concrete that is uncolored, color hardened, or integrally colored. It is also compatible for use with cementitious toppings.

Either a translucent or an opaque appearance can be achieved with this proprietary system. Up to three coats may be applied to increase color intensity. The final installed appearance will be unique depending on the color consistency, condition and porosity of the substrate and the cement and aggregates used.

    Sustainability

LITHOCHROME Tintura is a low VOC, nonacidic, waterborne, environmentally sound green building material. It may contribute to earning LEED credits for Indoor Environmental Quality, 4.2 Low Emitting Materials, Paints & Coatings based on low contribution of VOC.

    Custom-matched colors are also available.

Examples shown represent three coats of LITHOCHROME® Tintura™ water-based stain applied over uncolored, medium gray concrete, then sealed with two coats of SCOFIELD® Selectseal-W™. The concrete color effects produced may differ significantly from that shown on the color chart. A representative test section should be prepared for each individual concrete surface prior to general application.

Please note: concrete colors shown are approximate. Due to shade variations associated with individual color monitors and printers, for a more precise representation, we suggest requesting an actual Lithochrome Tintura Stain Color Chart by calling Scofield at 1-800-800-9900. We strongly recommend that a test slab be poured and approved prior to starting the job. Test slabs should be poured replicating jobsite conditions.

    Concrete Table Vibrator, Electric

    Product Detail:
  • High frequency electric vibrator, specially designed for concrete countertop casting tables.
  • Use when precasting concrete to get a smoother finish, greater density, and faster pouring.
  • Vibrator only. Optional Mounting Plate can be added for $90 and a Speed Controller can be added for $140.
  • *TIP: When using a vibrator unit, it will be directional- meaning one unit mounted to one end of a table will 'pull' the concrete in that direction. For best results, use two vibrator units at opposite ends of the table, one mounted 180 degrees (opposite operating direction) from the other, which will cancel each other's 'pull' and will create a lateral, or up-and-down vibration, which is ideal for concrete.
  • 115 volt, single phase motor plugs into any standard outlet or generator.
  • Low amperage draw (3 amps max)
  • Speed and force (frequency) are adjustable with optional Speed Control Unit, to adapt to different size projects. Speed Controller has on/off switch, and overload protection to protect vibrator from overloading. Maximized capability of the vibrator, and minimizes the risk of overload damage. Speed Control Unit can be used with up to 3 of the electric vibrator units (Use a 2 or 3-way electrical splitter to plug the additional vibrator units to the speed controller).
  • Optional table adapter bracket mounting plate available. Designed specifically for concrete countertop applications. Mounting bracket makes entire vibrator assembly easily portable with two lifting handles, and can be mounted to table either on top, or underneath.
  • Quite operation: 80 dB.

  • Product Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Vibrator Unit: 6 3/4" L x 6" W x 4 1/4" H. Mounting Plate: Approximately 12" H x 12" W, and 1/4" Thick.

    Concrete Edge - Contractor 10-Pack

    Product Detail:
  • 10-Pack of re-usable edge form liners to create a detailed edge on concrete.

  • Select which form liners from the drop down menus above.

  • Please refer to the individual Edge Form Liners description page(s) for information and pictures.
  • Made of extremely durable polyurethane that can flex and stay strong.

  • Can be used in pre-cast or poured in place concrete work.

  • Cut to length easily with a utility knife. Join cut pieces using silicone.

  • Fast and easy to place in a mold, and quick to clean after use.

  • Good for hundreds of uses- Actually gets better with each use.

  • This product is not eligible for any other store promotional offers.

  • Product Specifications:
  • Measurements: 1.5"H and 2"H. Lengths vary per liner design, but are approx. 8' long.

  • Mold Setup:
  • Place Edge Form Liners in mold and either silicone in place, or screw through a backing form into the Edge Form Liner (screw holes will disappear once you back the screws out).

  • Silicone a bead across the full length of the bottom of the Edge Form Liner to create a water-tight seal.

  • Use of form release is recommended, but usually not necessary. Form release generally will create a smoother finish on the concrete.

  • Vibrate concrete well, or use fingers along entire length of Form Liner to remove as many air pocket voids as possible.

  • Edge Liner Removal:
  • After the concrete is sufficiently set up (typically 2-3 days), remove the Edge Form Liner.

  • Removal is simple- start on one end, and slowly peel the Form Liner away from the concrete.

  • Concrete usually will have small 'bumps' which can be sanded off with a 200 grit sandpaper. These bumps tend to disappear the more the Edge Form Liner is used, as it becomes seasoned.

  • Fill any air pocket voids with a slurry mix. Cenospheres (sold separately) make slurry fill voids more easily, and with less shrinkage.

  • Edge Liner Care:
  • Clean with a stiff brush and water after each use. Any silicone left on the forms should be peeled or scraped off (the sooner the easier to remove). Any hardened concrete can usually be removed using a wire brush.

  • *Occasional imperfections may be present on the Edge Form Liners, and can be altered using a sharp utility knife, or a very abrasive sand paper or resin-bound grinding discs.

  • Faucet is made of the highest quality components.

  • Handles are permanently attached to the hose bib by pinning the handle to the stem of the faucet with a solid brass pin.

    Concrete Edge 2" Ivy Vines

    Product Detail:
  • Re-usable edge form liner to create a detailed Ivy edge on concrete.
  • The edge form creates a raised center section along the countertop edge. Ivy Detail runs the length of this center strip.

  • Product Specifications:
  • Measurements: 95 3/4"L x 2"H.

  • Mold Setup:
  • Place in mold and either silicone in place, or screw through a backing form into the Edge Form Liner (screw holes will disappear once you back the screws out).

  • Shipping Information:
  • Usually ships within 2 business days.
